What Is an Implant-Supported Bridge?

This video explains how dental bridges—whether traditional or implant-supported—restore missing teeth with a natural look and feel. Both approaches aim to provide stable, functional results tailored to your specific needs.

A bridge is typically used to replace a missing tooth by anchoring it between two adjacent teeth. Depending on the situation and the width of the space, the bridge is supported by three or more teeth.

When we use implants to support a bridge, the process is similar. We place the implants into the bone and then fabricate a bridge that fits over those implants. The goal is to create a restoration that looks and functions like natural teeth.

In that respect, implant-supported bridges are not much different from traditional bridges.
