The procedure is not painful once the anesthetic has been applied. We use the same type of anesthetic that we would use for a dental filling. Placing a small diameter implant generally takes very little time. This includes taking an X-ray and placing a temporary restoration. In fact, many of these procedures, from start to finish, including the placement of a temporary crown, are completed in less than an hour.
